ESTATE PLANNING FEES:
Ms. Brown works with the client to create an estate plan tailored to that particular client's needs and wishes. Therefore, the fee for a Basic Estate Plan varies depending on the client's circumstances. Ms. Brown can provide an estimate of the fees after meeting with the client. A Basic Estate Plan generally ranges from $2,500 - $3,700.
A Basic Estate Plan includes:
- Consultation. Ms. Brown first meets with her clients to discuss financial and personal circumstances. Ms. Brown considers her client's goals, counsels her client on current tax and estate planning laws and advises her client on the best approach to meet the stated goals.
- Tax planning. Estate Planning generally focuses on Federal Estate (death) taxes, but it also may encompass income, gift, real property, or other taxes. Often times, significant Federal Estate taxes can be saved by proper planning before death. Ms. Brown provides tax advice based on each client's financial and personal circumstances.
- Estate Planning Documents. The following documents are generally drafted as part of the Basic Estate Plan: Will or Living Trust, pour-over Will (if a living trust is used), Power of Attorney for financial matters, and Advanced Health Care Directive.
- Transfer of Title. Ms. Brown assists her clients with transferring title to assets.
- Continued Counseling. Ms. Brown continues to counsel her clients during the process of drafting the documents for the Basic Estate Plan.
PROBATE AND TRUST ADMINISTRATION:
Attorney's fees for probate administration are dictated by the current law under Probate Code Section 10810 and are based on the value of the estate. Trust Administration is provided at an hourly rate only.
